Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher is responsible for supporting the editorial team in maintaining the integrity of the academic record. The publisher ensures that ethical concerns, complaints, corrections, and retractions are handled appropriately according to established publication ethics standards.

Editorial Responsibilities

Publication Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief of IAIC Transactions on Sustainable Digital Innovation (ITSDI) is responsible for deciding which manuscripts should be published. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript's originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, relevance, and contribution to knowledge. Editors consider recommendations from reviewers and editorial board members while ensuring compliance with ethical and legal requirements related to copyright, plagiarism, and research integrity.

Fair Evaluation and Non-Discrimination

Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual content without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, institutional affiliation, or political philosophy of the authors.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts. Information about manuscripts must not be disclosed to anyone other than authorized individuals involved in the editorial and review process.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Editors must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for personal research purposes. Any potential conflict of interest that may influence editorial decisions must be disclosed and appropriately managed.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

ITSDI applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other. Reviewers assist editors in making publication decisions by providing objective evaluations and constructive comments that improve manuscript quality.

Promptness

Reviewers who cannot complete the review process within the assigned timeframe should notify the editor immediately. The editor may assign another qualified reviewer to ensure timely manuscript processing.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use manuscript information for personal benefit.

Standards of Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively, professionally, and respectfully. Reviewers should provide clear comments, explanations, and recommendations based on the scientific quality of the manuscript.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by authors. Reviewers should also notify editors regarding substantial similarity or overlap between submitted manuscripts and previously published research.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must decline reviewing manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist due to personal, professional, financial, collaborative, or institutional relationships with authors or organizations associated with the research.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards

Authors must present accurate, original, and objective descriptions of their research. Manuscripts should provide sufficient information, methodology, and references to allow other researchers to understand and reproduce the research.

Data Access and Availability

Authors should maintain appropriate research data and provide supporting information when requested during the review process. Authors are encouraged to include data availability statements to improve transparency and research reproducibility.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts represent original work. All sources, ideas, and statements obtained from other publications must be properly cited. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices may be rejected or retracted.

Multiple Submission and Redundant Publication

Authors must confirm that manuscripts submitted to ITSDI have not been published previously and are not currently under consideration by another journal. Duplicate or redundant publication is considered unethical publishing behavior.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Authors must properly acknowledge the contributions and publications that have influenced their research. Appropriate citations must be provided for all referenced works.

Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research design, methodology, analysis, interpretation, or manuscript preparation. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Authorship Changes

Any changes in authorship after manuscript submission, including adding, removing, or rearranging authors, require approval from all authors and editorial consideration before acceptance.

Ethical Approval and Research Subjects

Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive information must comply with applicable ethical standards. Authors are responsible for obtaining ethical approval when required and reporting it appropriately in the manuscript.

Artificial Intelligence Usage Policy

Authors must disclose the use of artificial intelligence tools in manuscript preparation, data analysis, visualization, or other research activities. Artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial support, institutional relationships, or other conflicts of interest that may influence the research process, results, or interpretation of the manuscript.

Corrections, Retractions, and Publication Misconduct

ITSDI is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions may be issued when significant errors, plagiarism, ethical violations, or research misconduct are identified after publication.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

When authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they must immediately notify the journal editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.
